On Monday 28th July 2025, the Technical Committee Meeting was held between the NOC and SOO. The meeting was chaired by OMC Member D2 and OMC Member D3, along with several department managers from SOO. The delegation from NOC was led by the General Manager of Reserve Development Department, with the attendance of several department managers from NOC and the Acting Director of Wintershall Libya (WIAG), along with several WIAG representatives.
The meeting was opened by OMC Member D2, who welcomed the esteemed attendees and provided a summary of the company’s key activitie and the challenges faced during the past period. He emphasized that the support of partners and the cooperation of company departments are crucial and pivotal elements in the success of many of company’s projects. He also reviewed company’s average production rates, which reached 47,000 barrels since mid-last year, with an average daily production of 51,000 barrels worth noting that the highest production rate has exceeded the 54,000 barrels . He discussed the technical work being carried out by the company to continue increasing production in pursuit of achieving the annual targets set by the National Oil Corporation. Subsequently, the floor was given to the department managers to present the company’s annual activities, each according to their specialization.
In conclusion, the representatives of the National Oil Corporation and Wintershall Company (WIAG) thanked the company’s OMC and all employees for their dedicated efforts to enhance the position of Sarir Oil Operations Company among oil sector to achieve its targets despite the current challenges in the oil sector.
