Sarir Oil Operations is participating as an official sponsor in the Libya Energy and Economy Summit 2025 which kicked off in the capital, Tripoli yesterday the 18th of January 2025 and will continue for two days. The summit is chaired by the Libyan Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and with the participation of several state ministers, representatives from 30 countries, around 1500 energy and economy specialists, 490 global companies, and various international organizations active in the energy and oil sectors.

The Prime Minister opened the summit with a speech highlighting the event’s significance in boosting Libya’s international standing in the global energy sector. He commended the significant efforts to increase Libya’s oil production to over 1.4 million barrels per day and expressed Libya’s goal to reach 2 million barrels per day in the coming years

During the opening ceremony, both the Libyan Oil and Gas Minister and the NOC Chairman delivered a word, both highlighting the strong improvement in the Libyan oil and gas sector, underscoring the steady recovery and notable progress despite the challenges. Furthermore, The NOC Chairman outlined the corporation’s strategy to promote innovation, sustainability, and effective use of technology, including the creation of a renewable energy department, development of the petrochemical industry, and reduction of harmful emissions.
