Objectives of Job:

  • Assist the Construction Coordinator to prepare a well prepared drafted civil scope of work(s).
  • Prepare scheduled and necessary updates of civil activities.
  • Inform contractor(s) promptly of any construction schedule changes and work closely with all relative parties to ensure requirements are met.
  • Maintain scheduling, and civil field tasks database oversight, a well as report regularly to Construction Coordinator and any other required involved party to keep them constantly informed of job progress, plans and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules.
  • Manage contractor compliance to task specifications and apply quality control during execution phase for the assigned activities.
  • Making recommendations and providing alternative solutions to problems during execution phase for the assigned activities.
  • Ensure all the assigned activities complies with HSE regulations.
  • Support technically other departments whenever needed which instructed by the line managers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop the assigned construction civil scope (as a Draft) and parameters for field daily routine requested tasks, design calculation (if task required), and acquire the necessary materials for activities implementation, to support the P&C dept. accomplishing planned/unplanned civil activities.
  • Conduct regular meetings with contractor to ensure clarification and meet specific requirements in a timely manner.
  • Document and report project progress (daily, weekly, and monthly) to Construction Coordinator, all assigned field daily routine requested tasks.
  • Maximize field daily routine requested activities efficiency and profitability.
  • Coordinate and monitor the ongoing field daily civil routine assigned activities.
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
  • Perform overall quality control of the work for examples the planned activity schedule against actual task progress, and report regularly on-going assigned civil activities status.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with Construction coordinator, P&C department team members, and other involved parties to provide assistance and technical support.
 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • BS degree in civil engineering or relevant field.
  • 3+ years proven oil & gas industrial knowledge in civil related activities and good engineering practices, (drafted scope, schedule, quality,..etc
  • Proven working experience as a civil engineer.
  • Good knowledge of civil design and utilizing software such as AutoCAD.
  • Able to utilize MS Office skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline departments e.g. HSE, OPS, Services.
  • Problem solving skill and provide proposals to line manager and team members.
  • Excellent supervision skills with good field management experience.
  • Ability to apply project time management and analytical skills.
  • Undertaken civil quick calculations at site.
  • Good knowledge of civil design and utilizing software such as AutoCAD.
  • Able to utilize MS Office skills.
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  • Working knowledge of civil related construction equipment and techniques, drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience with inventory control and process improvement.

Objectives of Job:

Determine project mechanical specifications and acquire the necessary materials for completion. Preparing a detailed scope of works for the mechanical activities to allow the contractor to produce a technical/ commercial offer for expenditure approval against the budget. The Senior Construction Engineer is responsible for onsite supervision of all various mechanical projects, tasks, plant modifications activities in the existing facilities to ensure the activities are executed as per the work scope and in adherence to the HSE standards.  For the preparation of the daily activities, he maintains close contact with the contractor and/or staff involved in the construction activities. After completion of works the Senior Construction Engineer must ensure that all relevant documentation (e.g. P&ID, PFD, piping arrangement, ISO drawings, etc.) will be updated.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist both the project coordinator and Construction coordinator to establish project objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
  • Prepare scheduled and necessary updates of mechanical activities and analysis of manpower and equipment required.
  • Create and administer appropriate testing protocols to monitor project performance.
  • Inform all supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
  • Maintain budgetary, scheduling, and project/field tasks database oversight, and report regularly to both project coordinator and construction section head to keep them constantly informed of job progress, plans and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules.
  • Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications.
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards
  • Working knowledge of mechanical related construction equipment and techniques, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and symbols and to apply this knowledge.
  • Supervising all kinds of field construction activities in field areas.
  • Ensuring activities are completed as per the agreed work scope and required modifications are identifying in a timely manner, controlling changes in work scope closely with regards to additional cost and effects.
  • Ensuring construction activities conform to relevant international standards i.e. ASME, API.
  • Liaising with on-site Third-Party Inspection for co-ordination of NDT / Inspection requirements
  • Preparing Work Permits as required for each activity as per the Permit to Work system.
  • Acting as Performing Authority and ensuring toolbox talks are always completed for each critical work activity and all precautions adhered to.
  • Actively promoting a safe work environment and good standards of housekeeping.
  • Maintaining good communicating with all relevant departments and contractors.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • BS degree in mechanical engineering or relevant field.
  • 10 years of related experience in oil and gas fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in supervising construction teams.
  • Work experience in live plants and hazardous areas.
  • Good knowledge of international standards.
  • Proven work experience as a Senior Construction Engineer or similar role.
  • Experience in project management, in implementation phase.
  • Able to perform multitasking and time-management.
  • Strong client-facing and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.
  • Problems solving skills.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Flexibility, Reliability and good communication skills.
  • Good English level.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • High diploma or higher certificate in Information Technology or Telecommunications.
  • Minimum of 3 years telecom work experience.
  • Intermediate English language.
  • Building up knowledge with self-study learning concept.
